版画のテクスチャなのがオシャレ。
大量の情報から最適解を導くのが得意なAI。今度はこれにさまざまなイメージを学習させ、自らモダンな抽象画を描かせる試みが行なわれました。
オーストラリアのビクトリア大学デザイン学部にいるトム・ホワイト教授が、AIの知覚エンジンに楽器や野菜、トイレやブラジャーなどを学習させて描かせたこれらの作品。それがなかなか、ポップで壁にかけたくなるような作品ばかりです。

なるほど、さまざまな画像のアチコチのパーツや角度を、印象でザックリ合体させている感じがします。
これまではGoogleの人工知能が吐き出す悪夢のような画像や、ニューラルネットワーク画像生成システムの「Pix2Pix」が作るホラー極まりないクリーチャーなど、どれもこれもが身の毛もよだつ結果ばかりでした。ですがこういうのなら、大歓迎ですよね。
すべての作品はA3サイズで75ドル(約8,200円)か、90ドル(約9,800円)で販売されています。リトグラフ版画で限定数枚しか作られていないので、将来的にAIアートとして価値が出るかもしれません。
